Acne occurs when the pores get blocked leading to oil and bacteria build up causing red bumps on skin.
Acne cannot be treated by one single medication or procedure. For optimum results a customized treatment is chalked by the dermatologist for the client which includes oral medications, topical creams and serums, procedures, lifestyle modifications diet, nutritional deficiency, hormonal factors, smoking alcohol, stress.
After the treatment the Dermatologist will advise a maintenance prescription which is customized to the client to keep acne under control.
The time varies from one client to another as the severity, cause and grade of acne vary. The usual time taken to notice the improvement is 6 weeks from starting the treatment.
